Job Details

Job Duties: Working under the supervision of the Child Support Enforcement Agency Administrator, this position conducts interviews with applicants for support services which include, but are not limited to, paternity establishment, support establishment, location and enforcement. Applicants include, but are not limited to, individuals referred by Job & Family Services (including child protection unit and workforce unit) and Juvenile Court. Establishes and maintains case files including all federal, state, and local mandated forms, documents and information necessary to establish and/ore enforce support orders in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Monitors and reviews individual cases and provides client services as needed. Receives and returns

phone calls concerning applicant’s case information. Enters records and information on recognized state/local computer system. Maintains logs and records necessary for reporting purposes. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of secondary education. Must have basic verbal and written skills; math skills, basic knowledge of legal terminology, basic computer skills. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of insurance. Must have knowledge of public relations, interviewing, office practices and procedures, investigation techniques. Must have the ability to carry out instructions in written or oral form, understand, interpret and apply laws and rules or regulations to specific situations, resolve complains and work efficiently in an office setting. Must have skills in the use of office equipment and computer systems.

  • Proficient with functions in the Mainframe, P.C. and Manhattan (WMS) and Knapp (WCS) Systems. 

 

Minimum education and training required:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree required; Concentration in a Technical Discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management) desired.

Ensures the implementation of RSC philosophy as it relates to consumer choice.  Presents testimony and negotiates Agency policy with advocacy organizations, legislative investigatory committees, community action groups and organized labor associations.  Directs allocation of community resources and private grants within established criteria; assesses the quality of service delivery, the needs of populations affected and financial accountability and effectiveness of the rehabilitation facilities and treatment programs involved.
 
Represents the Commission and acts as liaison with public officials, national organizations, federal and state agencies, and advocacy groups.  May be a member of and serve on advisory agencies or boards of professional organizations related to the Commission's mission.  Represents the Commission to the public, makes speeches, acts as liaison for vocational rehabilitation and disability insurance programs on state, regional, or national levels. Oversees and facilitates inter-agency programs and functions. 
 

Preferred Qualifications
 
Educational requirements: at least a master's degree in the field of vocational rehabilitation, or related discipline in the social services.
Professional experience: at least 5 years of managerial experience in an organization of at least 50 employees with a 3 million dollar annual budget that delivers vocational rehabilitation services, under the auspices, or related to the State-Federal Vocational Rehabilitation program. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
