As the primary
retail account contact, this position will merchandise company
products, build brand awareness, promote sales to established accounts and
develop new customers. The successful candidate will possess strong customer
service skills, the ability to work independently and able to communicate to
and interact with a variety of customer accounts. The successful candidate
must posses a high school education with college preferred with a minimum of
two year's food sales experience, preferably in the dairy industry.
Individual must have strong computer skills with working knowledge of Word,
Excel and PowerPoint and must have strong analytical skills. Must be able to
lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and have full body motion. Must possess and
maintain a valid driver's license. This is basically a 1st
shift position with hours that vary and some Saturdays. You must be flexible to work some evenings
and Saturdays. Competitive wage, stable

The Logistics Account Executive Trainee (LAET) spends approximately 26 weeks in a rigorous Sales Management Training Program. Throughout this time, you will assist an experienced Logistics Account Executive (LAE) for 18 weeks and work to gain an understanding of the logistics industry and TQL’s business practices as well as the use of our Load Manager Database system. In the last 8 weeks of training, you will be independent of your mentor LAE and will receive in-depth sales training that includes a mix of classroom and on the job training with a qualified Sales Training Specialist. TASKS PERFORMED IN
THE FIRST 18 WEEKS OF TRAINING: Act as the liaison between the client, carrier, shipper and receiver. Negotiate rates with the carrier. Manage the movement of the client’s goods, ensuring they are picked up and delivered on time to the client’s satisfaction. Communicate at least twice a day with the carrier during transport, from pick-up to delivery. Accurately enter and maintain up-to-date information on a continuous basis in the Load Manager Database system. Work quickly to resolve problems that may develop on a load. Periodically run the account yourself. Actively participate in on-going training programs, both classroom and on the job, readily accepting feedback and suggestions for improvement. TASKS PERFORMED IN
THE LAST 8 WEEKS OF TRAINING: Build a portfolio of clients by actively researching and seeking out prospects. Develop relationships with these clients and strengthen your client base by providing excellent customer service. Actively participate in on-going training programs, both classroom and on the job, readily accepting feedback and suggestions for improvement. Perform all freight management for your clients as you did in the first 18 weeks of training. ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS: Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills, at least 25 wpm typing skills. Able to simultaneously handle multiple phone lines. Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. On call, receiving calls from clients and carriers 24/7 including holidays, weekends and evenings. Able to work the standard training hours. OTHER
